This project was a very difficult and tight under-house excavation to add a garage, cellar, water tank and guest bedroom plus bathroom. Using a combination of our 1.5 tonne excavator and rock saw, we were able to manoeuvre in the tight space to deliver a precise result.
Our recent Newport job was another specialist under-house excavation to enable the client to add a much needed indoor living space, two level usable backyard areas and install a water tank.
The excavation took advantage of the sloping block, creating an indoor space which would open out level to the backyard and give the family access to an inside/outside living area.
Efficiently, soil from the excavation was reused in the sloping backyard to to create two usable flat areas. We also excavated for the installation of a water tank.
With tight access down the side of the house we used our 1.5 tonne excavator with hammer, paired with a 1 tonne mini dumper to move remaining soil and rock to the front of the property for disposal. Posts and beams ensured the upper floor was safely supported throughout.
We're sure this family will enjoy living in the new space, and many more years playing in the more usable backyard.
